Default typical setup
Hi All,

Im setting up an ftp server in work for client sites (havent done before)
ive watched people configuring servers for this kind of thing but have never done myself in a commercial setting.

i want to run apache and have support for php/mysql etc
i will probaly use either ubuntu or debian (not sure which is best, any other suggestions? would redhat be easier?)

any guidelines or insight anyone can provide would be appreciated....

The server install of Ubuntu should do as a good starting point. You can use pureftd or one of the others as your FTP daemon...
