| Any email / IMAP people here? I've recently changed from POP3 to IMAP and have started to run out of space due to the emails being kept on the mail server Vs POP3 downloading them. I'm changing host to Blacknight bext weekend and my question is... If I change host and update the account settings in Outlook 2007 for that particular email address, will the emails IMAPed to the existing mail server dissappear or will it start to populate the email server gradually with my old IMP emails. IE Will I loose my emails? Thanks!

| IMAP basically reads the messages from the mail server, so if you move from host A to host B you'd need to pull across the emails as well or you will lose them |

All Outlook is doing is displaying the email that is stored on the hosting provider's server You would need to pull the emails from the old provider down to the new provider somehow .. |

| I think I've found a good solution. This application will copy / download all my IMAP email and allow me to then upload to another account. IMAPSize |
