Hi Guys,

This post is to announce the debut of Santa's Rules


Probably I should have written 'BETA' all over the site as it is full of bugs etc, but I am a new webmaster so I am just enjoying having a project of my own to work on and getting it up and running has been a great learning experience.

I am inviting all parents to consider using Santa's Rules. It is free to register and is a useful tool for encouraging kids to behave well. So far my kids and my friends kids have enjoyed using it.

For any bloggers etc who would like to add a Christmas theme to their site easily, there are code snippets available - if you use them please include the full code with link back to the site in return.

I would be greatful for any suggestions, comments or criticisms that could help me make the site better and I hope you like it.

Thanks! I am a parent of three great but 'spirited' kids. I work in Dublin and like many working parents, it involves a long working day. So the last thing I want when I got home is to be confronted by a zoo and to resort to shouting or heated tempers.

Also I have relatives living in Australia who are able to log on to the site and see the kids pages, it makes them feel much closer to the kids which is great. The feedback I have had so far is that people who have young kids like me like it. Other people say 'looks nice' but don't really see value in it. Hopefully it's a respectful representation of Christmas anyway, I find only about 2% of Christmas sites look like they had any effort put in to making them.

Very nice, I like it a lot, although an online dating ad showed up when I clicked on a profile and it kind of ruined the magical feeling that was there for me up to that point. If you're running ads you'll have to be careful what's showing up.
