Has anyone worked on this kind of project before for a car dealer? in my exp they seem to only want the basics regarding design and management.

on the car_view.php i will try to use some javascript to change the large image instead reloading the page again and again.

If the user has JavaScript disabled they will not be able to see any of the car images, why take the chance?

Also never rely on client side code to do _ANYTHING_ unless its unavoidable.

based on my website statistics i will not worry about javascript.

Javascript Enabled 117146 - 99.69%

Banks are using javascript to log into your own account.
Also Javascript helps a website code to execute faster, and less calls made to the server, for no reasons what so ever.

cr8or - while I can appreciate that it makes sense to ensure that a site will function without javascript you've basically said that all web 2.0 sites are doomed!!

There is also the other argument is browser compatibility and security. Fair play to banks for letting there customers login with java script.. Seems a bit strange a bank NEEDING to use it in the first place.. But I won’t go there.
