| Is all your traffic from StumbleUpon ?

| No, it got around 600 visitors the first day and 3600 the second day. These were all from atheist forums and blogs. People found the acquisition quite humorous and were posting links everywhere. Then someone posted it on StumbleUpon.com and about 40% of the traffic seems to be coming from there now. I've seen that "stumbleupon effect" with another site and it dies down after a while, so I guess the future may not be as bright traffic wise as the initial burst. I just applied for it through the normal channels. Initially some of the bloggers thought it was a catholic site that had been hacked. There were a few complaints but the IEDR replied saying: "IEDR policies were adhered to with regards the application of this domain name under the category of an unincorporated association." | I can see someone offering a bit'o'money to take this of your hands. Either that or the archbishop shows up at your door and asks you to take it down... |

I'd take off the links to the atheist site, that's just taking the mick and i'd say it's offensive to true catholics... Ireland needs a good catholic website, loads of religious links and articles, holy water, tickets to holy places for sale, guide to irish holy hotspots, catholic dating, marriage guidence, wedding licences, funeral preperation etc there's a load you could do to bring in all the religious traffic.... not sure but i'd say there's a lucrative niche there and i'm sure the there's some money in the kitty for some marketing, the church badly need to come into the 21st century and you could be the man to make it happen... as the lord himself said, go forth and syndicate for yours is the temple of google... best of luck, try not to upset the man upstairs too much..... |
