Hi, we have just launched a new web site myPOIs - Points of interest around Ireland and we would welcome all comments, good or bad. We know there are a few things that need to be sorted - blog, seo etc. but feedback, particularly on usability and user experience, would be very useful. Thanks.

I like the concept.

One thing I did notice was that some zoom levels were not available after selecting a pointer so the popup box was just white. For example clicking on the pointer for the Time Bar & Venue brings up an empty map.

Gavin, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately this is a difficult one cos we want to show the satellite imagery rather than the map detail because the imagery is correct whereas the google map detail may often be incorrect - the map projections means that the maps are always slightly different to what is on the ground - I think this has to do with representing a 3-d surface in 2-d, and also google (which is the norm) treat the earth as an spheroid, where in fact it is an oblate spheroid.
