 If you don't already know about it, you might want to look up boards.ie versus MCD in the news  I also work for a board that had gotten solicitors letters for defamation as well. Be familiar with the Data Protection Act as well. Right now I could tell you with a site like you're proposing you're in for a world of such solicitors letters. Every post could be libellous.
