| My latest creation.. TradeIreland.net... I've a habit of starting up sites and then not putting in the work to keep them up to date so decided to try somethin that might run itself (if there is such a thing!!).. prob with this one is getting it on its feet!) Anyways.. the sites run on joomla (1.0) with a classified ads component. Any views good bad or indifferent would be greatly appreciated!! Ciarán

| I have the same problem with so many unfinished sites - would love to make some money while not having to work at it - all the best.

| Nice clean design The only thing I'd have to ask is what makes it different from all the other classified sites?

| Thanks blacknight.. Bar the clean design.. not a whole lot!) A thing i'm slowly getting around to do is to have each category tailored for its subject. Example: when posting a car you'll have fields for year, engine, mileage etc. For property you'll have fields for bedrooms, garage etc etc. (so far i've only done this for autos). Also considering a PMS service to allow messaging between seller and buyer. I have a few other little ideas i'd consider. I'd like to have it as community based as possible and all that goes with that. |

| i think you should cut down on the amount of categories you have.... i tried out this kind of site once and in the begining i had a load of categories with noting in them and it makes the site look bad.... cut down on the categories untill theybegin to fill up a bit i think. |

| My 2c is that you should sort out hosting .. it's DOG slow (at time of this post). I'd reduce the number of categories initially (as already mentioned). I'd also de-Joomla-fy some of the pages. The registration page has a cluttered legend at the top AND the bottom (overkill and confusing for a handful of fields.. not knocking the legend idea itself). The contact page is very bare.. and doesn't encourage me to trust the site with my details. Nice clean UI, but if you're selling point is "we look better than the others", with a standard Joomla theme (RocketTheme?), then you'll need to think again. Decide how you're different and emphasise that difference. It usually takes big money to succeed, if you're just copying someone else.
