Default Site critique please ?

HI All
I'm new here....<g>

I have a site running at
www.bringbacktheswanseacorkferry.com

It's one of those sites that 'just growed' - and I'm a bit concerned that the structure of the site might not be as clear to the visitor as we'd like.

The site has two aims - to provide a central focus for information about the restoration of the ferry link - and to get signatures on our online petition.

Site's created NetObjects Fusion - simply because it looked like a reasonably painless way of getting a fairly OK visual design.
There are many 'rough edges' - but, due to the frequently-updated information on the site, I'm looking for utility rather than award-winning graphics design.

Looking back (ain't hindsight wonderful!), some sort of CMS would have been a Good Idea..... but I think it's probably a bit late to go that route now... especially as the site's being maintained in my 'spare time'...

So - comments please.... and thanks in advance
Adrian

too many news flashes on your front page ...

site design looks very dated to me I'm sorry to say

News all links to one news page

Really don't like the scrolling news thing ..

too much scrolling on the front page

Fonts are a bit all over the place ...

If I had more interest in the project I might read through it all ... but as it is it doesn't stand out apart from the URL ... what its all about (which may be enough)
