Default Website Review Wanted

Hi everyone.

I am running a web design site for Ireland. I am wondering if anyone could post a helpful review/critique.

Also, what tricks would you suggest to increase traffic and prestige for this Irish website?

The site is www.profinvent.com

Thanks a lot.

Well I'm not a web designer by any means but maybe that means I can see it from a different perspective.

One thing I would say is the logo has too many fonts in it - you have P in one font, Profinvent another and .com in another one - id say thats too many as its a bit confusing to try and read it. Maybe I'm wrong.

I like the background - is it me though or is the very bottom of it missing pixels?

Looks nice though

You're using a .com hosted in the Czech republic to target Ireland?

I can't see that working too well

As for the site ...

Your choice of colours leaves a lot to be desired. The green and yellow is quite nauseating and is very very hard to read. If I had been a potential client I'd have left

Off the top of my head:

I like it
Logo needs to be changed, doesn't match the rest of the site.
SEO needs a bit of work

Is it a big difference to host outside of the targeted country? I put some effort to SEO, keywords, HTML Titles and all seem to be working well for Ireland.

You need to clear up your xhtml errors. Especially since you have a image down the bottom that seems to say that your xhtml is valid... But that might not be what that bimage means...

And although I like the background on the webpage - You should probably stick to one.

And whats with the download of the price calculator? Can you not do that without asking people to download something? It looks like a pretty simple form?

You're right. I am thinking of transforming Excel file into online form.
Btw, it is back to XHTML Valid.

i think it just makes sense to keep it online rather than relying on people to download a excel sheet.

Cool. Normally I wouldn't say anything if it was only the three errors like you had but you did have the image down there....

How significantly can hosting location impact the website's ranking? You can tell to google on which location you want to focus in Webmaster Tools, can't you? There is plenty of hosting companies offering services in Ireland, but are based let's say in UK. Has anyone any experience with that?
