Default Site review: Picture Framing Website

Howya lads (& lassies?)

Anyone want to comment on a small site i'm working on? The first draft is here...

midlandpictureframing.com

The main thing I am concerned about is how it operates on different browsers/platforms because i'm experimenting a bit with the shadows there. Some issues still exist in IE5-PC but i'm working on those.

Any comments?

Okay, some people find scrolling a nuisance but when you have an inline scrollbar and a main scrollbar it gets confussing and messes up karma.

I would ditch the inline scrollbar.

I'm using Firefox2 and I can't highlight the text on the left column from top to bottom. I need to highlight from bottom to top. Which is odd. I first thought you were using an image for your text.

Hmm. I deliberatly made the page short so people wouldn't need to use the main scrollbar ... but only tested it in 1024* res (in Fx at 1024 res I don't have a main scrollbar). I might have to rethink that so.

****, I never thought of that. The outside frame is an image sitting over the text. Might have to think how to recode that ... but is it really such an issue I wonder?

Thanks for the comments.

EDIT: OK, both issues fixed (image over text at least works in Fx), any better? (ignore break in shadow, will be fixed.)

In IE5 + 7 on WinXP it looks ok for me. What platform are you on?

Yeah, I fixed it but had to resort back because the text was disappearing in IE5PC. Still looking for a solution.
p.s. it's a "picture frame" not an iframe
