Before I go any further are you just asking about the look and feel? Or some SEO input as well?

The design is nice, I just would change a few things. You have a redundant double footer going on, not sure what the darker one is for. Your Golf image is a jpg and not transparent, meaning I can see the white outline over your grey gradient in the background, change it to a PNG. And finally, your markup is... Can be improved ALOT by using CSS.

I see what you mean with the transparent images now that I slump down in my chair. Damn contrast ratio on this LCD is crappy. Thanks! - This will be fixed.

Also it does make sense to remove the darker footer. I will have to decide on that one, but I feel you are correct.

Happens to me as well
I have two monitors, I made a template before on one screen, and the main colours were blue and white.
I dragged it to the other screen and now the main colours were green and white

Dead for me too
