just looking for some feedback on a new design. what do people think of the color scheme in particular....

as a sidenote, what do people think of the software box, not the design but just it being there. would it turn you off or would you actually click to learn more?

you are unlucky you are looking for design feedback - cause after 10 seconds trying to load the page via broadband, I gave up

Same here, I forgot about it but it loaded eventually.
Over all it looks quite good, when I looked at it I couldn't decided if the content body should be light with dark text or the other way round.

Your css passed validation - with warnings, but the page itself failed validation

Like the banner. Don't like the main text area background colour. Dark grey adds no contrast to the page. I think more structure/better design to that main area and it could be quite nice.

bandwidth is a problem, its sitting on a server in seychelles. international bandwidth is provided by satellite. site will eventually be hosted in ireland though.

well cheers for the feedback, @rollo, its not a template, all hand written. its based on lots of ideas and inspiration from the likes of cssremix etc. although my code isnt that clean, something im improving. will sort the title, its only beta for now. i think the dark background works well, the contrast works?? what would you suggest though, reversed looks kind of odd and doesnt really fit. anyone got any comments on software box... i personally dont like them but does it turn anyone else off?

we recently signed up to host365 antispam system netriplex hoping to alleviate some bandwidth problems.... it doesnt appear to be having much effect, thats chronic. it does catch a hell of a lot of crap though. i think your right with the going in reverse phrase, this place needs a solid connection like a submarine cable.
