if u use a ready to go package wouldn't be that much taking in consideration most of the website is done for you (adds-on, etc)

if you make it from scratch then 5000 upwards...

So then, in terms of just using an OSCommerce template and SEO'ing it so that it came up in the top five SERPs for it's keyword ?

2000Euros ?

No offense dbee, but its like how long is a piece of string, people will give you quotes, but there is no set price.

Your design and development of your site will be based on the constraints you put down, re: asthetics, security, finance etc.

You will always find someone in your budget, but do you know exactly what you want and is this reasonable within your budget.

Re: SEO, that as much depends on your current competition and how long you need to be SEO'd for.

Hope that makes sense.

Once - off SEO work has limited lifespan too. They're better off investing in regular monthly work.
