| I am looking at a project at the moment where the client has requested a maintenance contract. This is a project which is aimed at getting me involved in their orverall web strategy and, understandably, they would like the comfort factor of knowing I am available to help out whenever they run into a problem. My usual proposal invoves a golive date followed by an hourly rate for changes thereafter, but this is a different type of project for me. I would greatly appreciate any advice people might have on maintenance contracts, both in what kinds of costs are involved and also how to ensure it suits, and protects, both the client and the contractor - without being so legalese it puts a client off! many thanks for any pointers/links/advice/help! |
