Default Achieving Company Approval

I'm involved in a new startup (providing a diverse range of web based services). At the moment the likes of Enterprise Ireland offer growing businesses grants to develop/enhance their own web presence. A new client of ours is one such business. We are both eager to form a business relationship, but they first must get us approved by Enterprise Ireland as a suitable service provider.

Does anyone know what this process entails?

What would the likes of Enterprise Ireland be looking for in order to deem us suitable?

Off the top of my head, I imagine the following
  • That we are registered company (we are)
  • That we are registered for tax (waiting for revenue to get back to us)
  • That we are qualified and perhaps have a portfolio (we do from freelancing)
  • That we have access to equipment and software licenses?? (we do)
  • Etc
Or is it a much simpler case whereby they just want to talk to us and review our portfolio or perhaps speak with Ex clients.

Our potential client is satisfied that we will be able to solve their relative problems, but EI will not give them a grant unless EI believe similar. Typically these things wouldn't bother me, but I know we can do the job, but we just want to know in advance what boxes need to be ticked so EI think so too?

Any advice or details of experience very much appreciated.

Prior to posting I did, and I still am. The only information I can find that appears relevant is in relation to their "eBusiness Accelerator fund". From my reading it doesn't mention anything about approving service providers.

Have you any experience yourself blacknight?

I'd ring them and ask them to be honest.
