If it's just note taking then get yourself Xpad. Amazing piece of software. Love it. xPad. The Ultimate Notepad.

Err, just downloaded this. Created a database and then.... tumble weed .....
How does it work? Is it similar to wallet?

We should have a Mac OS X applications thread somewhere..

Ah you've to create a category first I think :) remember having the same questions :D

And if you've got wallet (commercial) no point getting keepassx (freeware)

Dreamweaver CS3 + Spry1.6 (for CSS and some JS)
Fireworks CS3 (layouts as it uses vectors so no quality loss when scaling)
Photoshop CS3 (edition of images as I care about quality more the compression)
Flash CS3
OpenOffice (because I do not like m$)
TotalCommander (FTP and files management)

I've noticed Notepad appear here a lot in the listings

Why on earth would anyone use Notepad to design a website in this day and age. That's like buying a car with no power steering.

The same go's for Dreamweaver, I have been using MS Expression Web2 and it handles asp, aspx, php and x/html fare better then Dreamweaver ever could.

I reckon its because its very very very handy - Only takes milliseconds to open and all you really need is it to do is text editing.

I use it for quick fixes for all of my languages. In fact since I do alot of scripting - I'd say its open all day long.

I like expressions web myself. Only used it for a while though. Big fan of komodo myself.
