Animated gif - Nice in FF, Bad in IE & Safari

All is ok in FF, but in IE and Safari the animated background Gif is really slow

+1 : It looks so dated anyway!

I just ran a test on my machine - running vista, 4gbs ram, 2.2 Duo Processor .....

When running in FF or Chrome, Processor jumps about 10% - in IE it shoots up to over 60%!!!

Whatever way IE is handling it, it's taking up too much processiong power. I did read a long time ago about how bad IE6 was at handling animated gifs - so they obviously haven't sorted it yet. So ditch it would definitely by my opinion.

Well. Its supposed to look dated. I just thought there might be some way to keep the animation, without taking up so much processing power.
