Blacknight Introduce “No Fluff” Cloud Hosting

Irish registrar and hosting company Blacknight introduce “no fluff” cloud hosting to their family of products.

Blacknight cloud hosting, which is aimed at replacing the existing Virtual Private Server (VPS), is the first of several new services from the company to go live. Traditional hosting is limited to a single server while Cloud hosting operates on multiple connected servers with the ability to continue to add servers resulting in potentially unlimited processing power. Blacknight customers will benefit from the ability to expand their sites via cloud technology with greater ease.

Michele Neylon of Blacknight states: “Over the last few months our technical team have been working on a number of new services, and cloud hosting is the first of those products we are releasing. We have been studying the evolution of cloud technology and determined that it is something our customers would really benefit from.”

Blacknight currently offers a range of cloud based plans (http://cloudstore.blacknight.com/hosting/fixed-cloud-hos ...) with fixed resources, ranging with options of up to 12 GB of RAM, 8 vCPUs, 85 GB of hard disk space and massive amounts of bandwidth. Blacknight's cloud offerings also run on Dell Blade servers and ensure a green energy footprint.

Cloud hosting is an evolving service for Blacknight with future additions already in the works such as the ability to choose the amount of resources you want.

Neylon continues: “ With our cloud based virtual servers you'll get a lot of power and an impressive array of options to suit even the most demanding needs. The best part is that you are in complete control and backing up, restoring, rebooting complete in seconds with a click.”

Blacknight also offer a wide range of JumpBox virtual machines, which turn your cloud-based virtual machine into an "application appliance". Jumpbox is a very nice way to get up and running quickly and easily. For example, if you choose a Jumpbox template with Wordpress, you get everything you need to run Wordpress on its own virtual machine.

Blacknight are also offering enhanced support services to assist people with configuring and managing their cloud based servers.

Blacknight will be adding more features and options for cloud hosting in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the Blacknight blog, Twitter and Facebook for developments.
