.eu - APPLICATION PENDING

I have been watching a .eu I have a ltd company for and since the register opened it has been on APPLICATION PENDING, will this ever expire and is there any chance of me getting this .eu

If you look at the details on http://www.whois.eu you should be able to see when the application will expire. However there is a large backlog of applications, so some of them haven't even been examined yet. Some predict that it may take up until December to get through them all!

The entire handling of the .eu namespace has been pretty horrific from the start. What with all the dodgy US registrars using EU fronts to help squatting.

And if you find that your domain has been grabbed your only hope is to instigate an ADR which costs over €1000 excluding your legal fees
