A final update on this one.

Google finally had a brief visit on the 31st August. Though it still hasn't updated its info. It is still displaying summary info from the pre-launch site and isn't displaying the page title. It visited again this month, but for some reason it just doesn't like the site

It's just a waiting game. Once your spidered indexing is simply a function of link popularity and the frequency you update the site (taking decent spiderable text content as a given).

I'm sure it will come good.

A further update on this one and another mystery.

I originally started this thread because I had launched a site and Google had ignored it for a couple of months. Last Monday, I registered a domain, and set up a site. In less than 24 hours, Google was all over it. Since then, it has visited eight times. Strange [but I'm not complaining]
