How to add a video to a website

Hi,

I've been searching through the internet for the last 3 hours trying to find out about this. Hopefully someone here knows the answer.

My sister wants to make a film about her son and add it to her website. (She also wants a website but that's another story...)

So how does she go about doing that? I've been reading about .swf, .avi, .flv and I'm lost....

Thanks in advance. I can't look at another website trying to sell me some convertor...

I have to do that last week as well, the other option is to upload them to youtube once uploaded you can just get the link frome there.

upload them to youtube once uploaded you can just get the link frome there.

Better still, upload to YouTube (or video hosting site of your choice) and embed the hosted video on your own site. This is easy with YouTube.
