Less indexed URL in webmaster tools

Hi guys,

I had smthing like 2000 URL indexed out of 9k just a week ago, but now I see I have only 600 Urls indexed by Google. How can this be? Why could this number drop? I did not delete or resubmit my sitemap.

How are you measuring?
site: operator or from XML sitemap indexed URLs count in GWT?

Could be bad data in GWT (happens a lot), or it could be that they have de-indexed some of your pages (also happens).

I'd only worry if you see a change in your organic referrals.
