Little problem in Joomla

I am having a problem deleting images in joomla the following error appears;

One or more of the selected item(s) can not be saved: Error while deleting photo: /usr/local/pem/vhosts/102702/webspace/siteapps/140/htdocs/media/com_hotproperty/images/std/

When I check, the images are broken but I can't delete them to replace them.

Any ideas?

If its a linux server, what is the mode and ownership of the file you are trying to delete? It sounds like a permissions problem.

If its a windows server, sorry cant help!
