Phpmyadmin Installation Problem

I have Apache 2.2.13, PHP 2.5.9-9 and mySQL 5.1.41 and phpMyAdmin 3.2.4 all on windows XP sp2.

Problem is that i go to the phpmyadmin page in my browser and the login screen shows up fine, i enter the login details and it takes me to a blank screen, anyone have any ideas??

idea would be that errors are being thrown but you've them disabled in your php.ini file ?

I presume this is a typo? PHP 2.5.9-9 as php my admin requires PHP 4.2.0 or newer!

Yup, sorry about that, meant to be 5.2.9-9.

I think I may have found the problem. When I use the libmysql.dll file that comes with PHP it works but if I use the libmysql.dll file that mySQL installs the problem occurs.
The other issue is that when I use the libmysql.dll that comes with PHP i get a warning message in phpmyadmin saying that im using an older version of the libmysql.dll than the version of the database and may cause unpredictable side-affects, any ideas?
