SSL Certificate - which one?

Can anyone recommnend the best SSL Certificate for an ecommerce website? The cheaper the better but has to be secure.

AFAIK all certificates are pretty much equal as far as security goes (make sure to choose at least 1024-bit encryption strength in your certificate request)

The biggest difference is in the verification process, the cheap certs only do an email check, others (such as the Extended Validation certs) need much more proof, but they also cost much more.

I get mine from https://www.cheapssls.com/ (usually just the COMODO Positive SSL for $8.95)

I've just been through this recently, and am probably going to end up getting the Comodo InstantSSL (or the pro version of same). Although their corner of trust logo sounds like something from Meet the Fokkers.

Shop around - you can get certs much cheaper from Namecheap and the like than from Comodo directly.

I don't think EV is worth the extra money.
