First off, don't use that plank :p

Hmm spam to the extreme much!

I have never used that software. But it really depends on what you need / why. Sometimes open source can be far better than taking a closed source solution which is only supported by one company for 29$ a month.

If you are not a developer, maybe you might consider thinking of having a system designed to your exact needs, although it would probably cost at least 3 years of costs associated with that solution.

If you post up what you are looking we might be able to recommend something for you.

My personal feeling would be Joomla, free easy enough to use, expandable

It really depends on what you want from the site.
I have used Joomla, WordPress and CMS Made Simple

If you want to really customise the look and feel of the site then WordPress or CMS Made Simple. If you want it to do lots of different things then Joomla.

Not quite sure why you have eliminated Joomla from the get go.
