Does the traffic your site receives affect ranking... without any link buidling?
Yes as long as the traffic emanates from organic searches. Google monitor the keywords used and the bounce rate for those keywords. If people stay on your website for a period of time and visit a "few" pages Goggle conclude that the words used were relevant and hence you should be higher up the listing for those words
If your bounce rate is good then no any effect in ranking after visitor visit the site. If the bounce rate is increased then chance to down your ran.
Its not just traffic, but the engagement would seriously affects the ranking metrics of Google.
