In a way I've no idea why I'd want it

Also I'd guess in some cases it won't show the actual server but rather the point of entry to the network or am I wrong ? ( not sure of the terminology ... proxy ? firewall )

I used use Ip Tools, DNS tools, internet tools, WHOIS, traceroute, ping, domain name tools a fair bit ....

whois lookups I'd normally use samspade if I'm using a browser ...

normally though it'd be commandline
