Thread: Solicitor in Dublin au fait with international Web copyright laws

I've given a website owner and his design company a few months of warnings to remove design and markup stolen from one of my client's sites and they have completely ignored them all. The website is a Spanish company. I am now ready to take legal action. Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in Dublin who is well versed in international Web copyright law? Many thanks.

You've two choices:

1 - Use a really expensive Dublin firm

2 - Use an international firm that might be cheaper

Thanks Michele. Obviously I want to pursue this on principal but I'm wondering will I be able to recoup the legal costs if I'm successful? I'd probably need to ask the solicitor but if I can't - well then effectively there's no point in me going through with it as I can't afford to pay legal costs just to have the site taken down. Is copyright law so lax that those being violated have to pay to protect themselves? Kind of extortion, isn't it?

Could you use DMCA to delist them?

Unless you are a solicitor you will have to incur some costs in order to protect yourself.
