Thread: Icon Sets for Applications

Howdi,
I'm looking for glossy icon thumbs for the following application extensions:
DOC, XLS, PPT, PPS, DOCx, XLSx, PPTx, PPSx, PDF, TXT, RTF, KEY (Mac) ,KEYNOTE (Mac), PAGES (Mac), ZIP, CSV, HTML, WPS (Microsoft Works), WKS (Microsoft Works), ODT (Open Office), ODP (Open Office), ODS (Open Office)

But my searches on sites such as istock haven't been fruitless. Does anyone know of any good icon sites or even an icon set for the above file types?

I don't know of any sets like that off hand but I came across this icon maker a little while ago at Axialis Software - Icons, Create Vista Icons, Make Icons, XP Icons, Macintosh Icons, Leopard Icons, Tiger Icons, OSX Icons, Windows Icons, Mac Icons, Create Screensavers - seems to be good at creating glossy icons, if you don't mind spending time to create them. Not sure how good or easy it is to use though as I only briefly tried it myself, although it might be quicker than using other image software to create icons.

I recently downloaded an icon pack with some (but not all) of the apps you were after. They're 3D. You can find it at:

Nice selection but I think I am going to have to design some of the ones I need from scratch. I would have thought there was some kid out there making a fortune from icon sets of newly released applications...

Professional icons, web icons and stock vista icons - Any good to you?
