Default File Storage & API recommendations

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a decent file storage company who have an API which allows me to add a file storage facility to my site. I have looked at Google Docs but they don't permit file sharing, they don't support PDFs and their max file size for .doc is 500kb!

I also looked at Box but they have a maximum file storage capacity of 20mb. Their integration with Facebook is exactly the type of system I am looking for, but with more than a 20mb limit

The only other company which I know of which might facilitate my needs is Amazon's S3 service.

Does anyone know of a company which supports doc / pdf / xls / ppt / rar / zip / etc... / etc... / , have a decent storage capacity, have a decent API...

Amazon.com: Amazon S3, Amazon Simple Storage Service, Unlimited Online Storage: Amazon Web Services

Amazon AWS is the only one I know of. Maybe How PutPlace Keeps Your Digital Life in Order | PutPlace would work , I've only heard about them from Paddys Valley

You can get 2 GB free with this site Mozy.com

A friend gave me the link and I signed up just to see and they were right you can upload 2 gigs to store on there servers for free, they encrypt it before uploading, as I haven't had any lost information so yet I haven't tested it.

It's about $5 for unlimited upload storage from one computer per month

I looked around a lot for something similiar to backup my media heavy websites and amazon s3 was the cheapest by far. So another vote for them

1TB at s3 will cost around 150-200 dollars per month (depending largely on how you upload/download and how many files you are storing)
