I've been trying out quite a few different log analysers to see which one gives me the most useful information.
Ones I've trued:
- Statcounter - free. Uses javascript on the pages to track visits.
- Webalizer - who hasn't?
- Awstats - a more powerful alternative to webalizer. The geo-ip tracking is handy
- Urchin (now Google Analytics) - it was excellent but Google's takeover and decision to make it free seems to have destroyed it
- Sawmill - looks very good, but I haven't had time to explore all the options
What have other people tried and what would they recommend?
