Default Dojo Javascript Opinions?

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience using the dojo javascript toolkit, and would you recommend its use?

I'm in the early stages of development of a web application and have been using Jquery, but for a number of reasons am now considering a move to dojo. Some of the issues I've come across seem to be around its size - has anyone found this to impact app performance?

Any other opinions on general usability, etc would also welcome.

Cheers.

It's been a while since I posted that last message, but if anyone's having the same issue, I came across this article on Sitepen which might help:
