Default Using Google Custom Search?

Anyone use the Google Custom Search yet?

I have just compiled my own within 15 minutes giving the same look as my own site using the same colour scheme. Whats really interesting is that you can use annotations to rank specific urls, more or less tweak your results.

Another great feature is having your Adsense show up in their results, just as it would with their main Search Engine.

I have already thrown this into my own site and the sites blog and looks to be a good feature for the visitors. I need to play around with it more though to really gain from it.

Cormac, any chance you can provide us with some info on what coding and stuff you had to do to setup the custom search?

I know the info is readily out there but i'm slugging thru something else at the minute and if you can provide some info that would be sweet.

Actually there isnt much that you need to do.

Sign up into the coop and you will be presented with a control panel that allows you to confgure the background colours, what urls you want to show up in the results and also using your Adsense account.

Once configured they give you the code to place into your pages.

I havent confirgured the annotations part yet, I think that will the most technical part of the custom search.

I had a try here : - poolax.com - nearly a year ago just to don't hold the domain unused but since then I had no time to work further on it.

What I do remember is that everything is very easy to set up as Gavin already said.
