Default Page titles

Hi all,

Just wondering about your takes on page titles. I'm making sure that all our pages have sufficient titles at the moment and was wondering about a proper structure for them considering our sites layout. I have two ideas at the moment:

1. Have the site name, then the zone name, then the content title (for example: Dublin.ie - Accommodation - Affordable Housing Schemes)

2. Same again with the site name but no zone name (for example: Dublin.ie - Affordable Housing Schemes).

How would you do it?

this way...the more keywords the better, but maybe in reverse as it seems logical that a spider will read left to right as well as a human.
Affordable Housing Schemes - Accommodation - Dublin.ie

I'd go for the primary search phrase first then secondary then site name:

Affordable Housing Schemes - Accommodation - Dublin.ie

That way you also have 'accommodation dublin' which probably gets more searches than 'affordable housing schemes' (but latter would be more targeted).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I always thought it was best to have the site name first? Like in Google search results would it not look better for the user to see:

Dublin.ie - Accommodation - Affordable Housing Schemes

or

Affordable Housing Schemes - Accommodation - Dublin.ie

I would have thought the former......

The site name is useless and of no importance

i wouldn't say it's useless as it contains a keyword but in order of keyword and content importance this is best imo:
Affordable Housing Schemes - Accommodation - Dublin.ie

In his case the site title is a key word as well, but say with armchair.ie - the only page that the domain name / site title is going to have a positive impact is in the furniture section

PS: Glad to see someone using the new avatars
