Thread: SWF/TrojanDownloader.Agent.NAV trojan on clients site

Hi, on a website I have taken over doing small edits etc the client is recently getting a 'SWF/TrojanDownloader.Agent.NAV trojan' message from his antivirus. This seems to be relating to a flash file that is on the pages. I'm wondering is it only being infected when downloaded to his local cache, or could there be something on the site itself? anyone any ideas?

It depends really. The only sure fire way to check is to download it to your computer, scan it with spybot SD, avg and see if it works (I recommend those two as they catch *almost* everything with active updates, you could use your own ware also if you wanted to.

If a problem is spoted, you'll need to tell your client, if not, tell your client the problem is with their computer and be the good smaritan and try to help or point them in the right direction to a computer repair shop, atleast try to run Spybot and AVG
