Default Browser resolution - all, some or specific?

So for people who make, design and build website - what is your minimum browser resolution that you will get your site working in?

800 x 600
1024 x 768

or is this a consideration for anyone

Generally I go for 800 x 600, because fluid design for higher can usually b0rk, especially when it comes down to strict accessibility issues (such as javascript being turned off)

according to the stats i have collected over time approx 85% of my audience are on 1024 x 768
800 x 600 isn't a consideration for me because i design in 3 columns to optimize advertising potential. It looks too tight if i go less than 1024/768

I'll always go by 800px width as a rule of thumb when designing but 1024*768 is alot better and that's what I'll test at in reality.

I still stick to the 800x600 for designs. I'd love if 1024x768 became the new standard to design to but in checking stats for clients sites, 800x600 is still up there as a high enough percentage, i.e. 12-15% are 800x600, while the rest are 1024x768 or higher. I think that's still a high enough percentage to ensure it works for them.

On smaller sites I stick with the 800px width, but I mostly like working with percentage, keeping the options open future use.
I used to work on a 15" screen and based on the stats, few months back I change it for a 17". It seems is getting more popular.

Yup, 800x600 (Sometimes 825). For MANY reasons.
