    HI Folks
I've just rebuilt a website for a client - format of original urls was

    index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=208

and there's heaps of them ! all picked up by google or explicitly linked from various forums.

Is it possible, in my .httaccess file to do something along the lines of

Redirect 'everything that starts index.php' to http://www.domainname.com/index.html ??
What would be the syntax of the command, please ??

    Thanks in advance
    Adrian

    Thanks for the reply.

    Yes - that bit I understand -
what I was hoping for was something more along the lines of

    redirect 301 /index.php* http://www.your-new-website.com/index.html

i.e. 'everything that starts index.php - redirect to new site'

Do you know if that's possible ?

    Thanks
    Adrian
