Complete newbie question regarding domain name/server

I registered a domain name with letshost.ie and I order hosting from hostgator.com.

Question is do I have to transfter the domain to hostgator.com? Will they charge me for it?

This probably isnt even the right section so I apologise in advance.

If you transfer a domain there is usually a fee. You shouldn't need to though, just add the domain to your hosting account and ask your domain registrar to update the nameservers to point to your host.
