Getting Ranking back after a hosting problem

The people hosting my site took my site down as my payment wasn't up to date (although the reason I hadn't paid was because they kept sending me emails telling me I did not need to pay until the 5th of January - two weeks after they cut me off). I didn't get it sorted for a couple of days as it was over xmas and it has affected my Google ranking.

I was doing quite well for a few search terms in Google and had recently got the number one spot for a couple of phrases I wanted to target. Now I'm nowhere to be seen! The question is how long do you think it might take to regain some ranking again on Google?

Needless to say I have begun the process of changing host (although I was going to do that anyway).

If the site is back online the rank could recover quite quickly.. though I don't think there are any hard and fast rules on this..

When I tookover a site a few months ago its ranking was dire due to the amount of junk posts, but it picked up pretty quickly when the rubbish was removed ..

I'm back! I appear to have been removed from Google for about a week and then back again.... phew!
