Hey guys,
In UCC at the moment we're trying out a new system of digital advertising for student events on campus on a sample of widescreen TV's that are set up in the new IT building, and hope in the future that this method will fully replace physical posters.
At the moment all the screens in the building are connected to the web, but we need to find a solution (and im sure it must be possible) whereby images are ftp'd into a certain folder each week and the old ones deleted, and once this is done a cetain url displays a continous slideshow looping through the images, or something along those lines, ideally with a more high level backend.
The advantage is that all screens on campus can (provided that they are connected to the web) simply connect to this URL and its easily updated by one or multiple users. Surely software such as this exists already, does anyone know of any such product, ideally available as freeware?
