Hello there!

....was the content of my first webpage, way way back in Jan 1995. Just back in the business after taking a back seat for a couple of years. Don't feel rusty at all, now I just need to get a good webmaster job.

cheers

Introducing myself

Hi, my name is Stan. recently moved here from France, and mostly programming in Squeak Smalltalk. Also started sailing a GP14.

For the moment, I'm here as I need to set up a simple site for my wife's practice- she teaches The Alexander Technique. I'll post some specific questions on the hosting thread.

Looking forward to swapping ideas.

Hi Forbairt, were they bemoaning the fact that France had internet before the internet? (i.e. Minitel)

I'd forgotten that. It was a great idea to offer services on a wide scale. The timing, however, was a bit unfortunate.

Speaking of redundant technology, I wrote some of the early user guides for Philips CDi. It was much better than CD-Roms at the time. They stopped development after a while, which was a shame. It was being sold as a way of visiting the world's museums.

They should have directly gone for gamers, I think.

Hi

Hi,

I have been reading these forms for a couple of weeks and decided to contribute :)

I am a developer/archtiect for a small software firm. Have tradionally developed more at the business layer/backend but now find myself working with the UI too. Part of difference in working for a smaller company...

Hi,

I'm just a plain ole guy from out in the countryside USA learning more and more about websites, SEO and such. Look forward to contributing and learning even more here. When I'm not working with the website, you can catch me playing Hold'em at Full Tilt Poker.
